5 Vaasthu Colours To Enhance Peace and Joy At Home

Have you ever felt a little cold after sitting inside a blue coloured room? Colours are linked physically, mentally and emotionally to the human body. Even our moods are affected by colours and vice versa. Our body is affected by seven important colours, the colours that are part of the white light – Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange and Red. Each colour influences the body’s various aspects. Thus, Colour therapy is always part of the Vaasthu Sastra to bring out the positive energy flow and eliminate the negative energy. Given below are the colours that are suitable for the bedroom of every house. Let’s discuss them one by one.

PINK

Pink is the most perfect colour for a bedroom. Pink symbolizes joy, happiness, and pure feelings, and is essential for a happy life. Pink colour can not only be used for the walls of the bedroom but can also be used in bed sheets and pillow covers. This is especially suitable for the newlyweds for a marital bliss.

LIGHT GREEN

Green is the next choice after Pink when it comes to colouring the bedroom. Green symbolizes peace and harmony. Green colour is usually used in children’s bedroom because green colour induces concentration. Black coloured furniture is mixed with it to encourage deeper thoughts.

Also, green matches with any colour making it colour neutral.

LIGHT BLUE

Blue is colour of the sky and water. Blue symbolizes peace, calm and tranquility. It is an ideal colour for the bedroom and for that matter, any room where you want to just relax. But you also have to be cautious because using too much of Blue produces a melancholic feeling and it can be quite depressing when used in excess. Though, green is the preferred colour for a kid’s bedroom, a more aggressive kid’s room should be painted blue.

According to Vaasthu, the rooms are constructed keeping the direction in mind. Thus, it is always appropriate to construct master bedroom in the south-west direction. As south-west direction is ruled by Rahu, blue is usually the preferred colour.

YELLOW

Yellow is the colour that causes a soothing effect. Hence, the bedroom of elderly people should usually use colours of yellow as they spend most of their time in their bedroom.

WHITE

The ceiling of the rooms should always be in white. White colour reflects light and brightens the room. Also, as the ceiling temperature should be less than the body temperature, white is the preferred colour for ceilings.

RED

Red stimulates more energy. So, if you are looking for a relaxed and sound sleep, this is not the colour for your bedroom. You can limit the use of red to candles, cushions and other accessories which doesn’t have large splashes of that colour.

BLACK

Surrounding yourself with black makes you feel more depressed. You will feel low when you get up in the morning.

WHITE

Limit using white to the ceiling. White, if confined, bounces light and energy, thus, making it difficult to take rest.

BROWN

Brown represents immovable energy. It is not advisable for bedroom.
