There are many over the counter skin cleansers available in the market today, which effectively remove the makeup and unclog the pores. However, simpleindianmom would always want to get beauty naturally and hence no more chemical.

You can easily make your own face cleanser & makeup remover, using ingredients you already have!

Here are a few tips:

Coconut oil

This is by far the cheapest and easily available make up remover. Being a natural moisturiser, it gently wipes away the makeup without stripping the natural oils of the skin. Also it is great for removing oil based / pigmented makeup stains.

Just take a small cotton ball, put 4-5 drops of coconut oil on it and wipe your face.

In case of oily skin, wet the cotton slightly and then wipe.

  • Olive oil

Olive oil is equally good for your skin and effective in removing make up. You can leave the olive on even after removing the make up.

  • Milk

The cleansing property of milk is well known. Especially fresh milk has skin lightening property.

Take a small cotton ball, dip it in a teaspoon of milk and add 1-2 drops of almond oil to it and wipe your face. Your skin will feel really refreshed.

  • Cucumber

The cooling and anti-inflammatory properties of cucumber make it a good makeup remover.

Grind half a cucumber and store the liquid in the refrigerator in an airtight bottle. You can mix rosewater in it. Apply this mixture using a cotton pad before going to bed.
