Although Hair fall is not a life threatening problem, losing your luscious locks does have a great psychological effect on your personality. Nutritious diet is a prerequisite to your well being and the same goes for your hair too. Make sure to include green leafy vegetables, oats, whole grains, dates, raisins and eggs in your daily diet.

Hair is made up of protein and hence protein ?rich food has to be consumed such as milk, egg white, wheat germ and so on.

Include foods that are rich in vitamin B that is also important for hair growth.

Silica is another important nutrient for your hair, because it helps in maintaining the beauty of your hair it is found in abundance in the outer covering of potatoes and cucumbers.

Other vitamins such as Vitamin A and Vitamin E are also important. Apart from this you have to take food rich in iron and calcium.

Washing Your Hair

If you have an oily hair type, washing it regularly is necessary to remove the extra oil that would cause the hair to become sticky. On the other hand if you have a dry hair, washing twice in a week is would do.

You have to take care not to use too hot or too cold water to wash your hair.

Shampoo and Conditioner

Choose shampoo carefully, mild shampoos work best because they do not cause any harm to your scalp and just take away the oil and dirt. Always condition your hair with a good conditioner because it helps to keep it soft and silky.

Take care not to change the shampoo and conditioner too often, stick to a brand.

Drying Your Hair

Natural drying is best suited for your hair, however if you are in a hurry you can blow dry your hair. Keep the dryer at minimal heat and hold it at least a feet away from your hair. This way there will be less damage.

Combing and Hair Style

Remember never to comb your hair when it is wet. Use wide toothed wooden comb, as it soothes the scalp and this works better than plastic comb.

Hairstyle also plays an important because certain hairstyles that require the pulling or clutching of hair may cause damage.

Harsh chemicals though may seem quite lucrative in their action are nothing but exactly what their name suggests- Harsh, hence try not to overuse them and if at any time you feel you would be able to avoid them, that would be your best.
