Every person wants to look great on everyday irrespective of the occasion they are on to and looking good begins from your hair. You expect your hair to have volume, shine and also behave.

Well, all these do not come all of a sudden as if by magic. It takes a lot of effort both physically as well as mentally to bring about a shiny and soft hair, feather touch as they say.

Your Hair is as Unique as You Are

Every person?s hair is unique and hence cannot be considered to create the same effects as that of another person. Your hair differs in texture, length, color, thickness and so on and hence you have to try different things and standardize one particular package of practices that suits you the best.

To get a good mane you have to understand from the basics, i.e., the construction of hair and how it grows.

Hair

Hair basically is made up of two parts the part inside the hair follicle is the hair root which is under the skin and the hair shaft that is seen above the skin. To make your hair shiny and soft there is an oil gland placed in the follicle namely the sebaceous gland.

The sebaceous gland feeds on blood and hence it is necessary that you have enough blood in your body to keep every follicle ready to feed hair root present in it.

The hair shaft moves up as it grows which is mainly due to a process called keratinization that requires proteins. Thus for a good hair growth you need ample amounts of iron and protein in your body.

Maintain these nutrients at good amounts can be done by consuming food such as green leafy vegetables, egg, spinach, liver, sprouted seeds and so on.

Hair Growth

Having a good diet alone would not be enough for you to maintain your hair in good health there are a number of external factors involved too. Dust, Heat, Mishandling, Wind, and so on are factors that make you hair dry, rough and easily breakable.

One of the first and most important things that lead to hair breakage and in turn its loss is Dryness.

You have to take enough care to retain your hairs? moisture as much as you can.

Locking Moisture in Your Hair

This may sound comical; however, it is the most important factor that would help you in keeping your hair silky smooth and healthy too.

You can use moisturizer to lessen the dryness of your hair, and then apply oil to your hair taking one lock at a time so that every fiber of your hair is oiled thoroughly. Then dry your hair. This way you would be able to lock the moisture in your hair that helps it to remain strong.

You can also use some of the natural products available in your home to moisturize your hair giving it a good texture and volume.

Banana Pack

This is what you do with an over ripened banana.

Mach the banana completely and add a few drops of almond oil. Mix thoroughly and message your entire head for at least 15 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water.

Hot Oil Treatment

Mix one cup olive oil, half cup sesame oil, and one fourth cup of butter. Microwave it for one minute and message your head. Make sure that the oil is absorbed well. Leave it on for half an hour. And shampoo.

Coconut Almond Sesame Pack

This is my personal favorite. Soak four almonds and one spoon of sesame overnight in half a cup of milk. Take half a coconut and grind it in a mixer. Add the soaked items when the coconut is half done and make it into a smooth paste.

Apply this paste on your head making sure every strand is being treated. Wear a shower cap and leave it for an hour. Rinse it off with shampoo.

Yogurt Conditioning

Take plain yogurt and apply to your hair thoroughly. Leave it on for 30 minutes and rinse it off with warm water.

Making Your Hair Shine

Shiny hair can be obtained by keeping your hair free from dirt and too much oil. Wash your hair at least twice a week. This helps in opening clogs in the hair follicle that is caused by oil that is externally applied as well as that produced from the follicle.

This oil when combined with dust would help in the proliferation of dandruff quickly leading to great hair damage and hair fall.

To get a shiny hair appearance you can follow the following tips.

Egg Shampoo

Separate egg white from the yolk of two to three eggs depending on the length of your hair. Beat them in a cup and apply to your hair. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and rinse it off in cold water.

Lemon Juice

Take 1/4th cup of lemon juice and ? cup of water. Use this as final rinse after you wash your hair and leave it on. You can also use vinegar in the similar ratio.

This adds shine to your hair.

Beer Rinse

Open a bottle of plain bear and leave it to stand overnight. Use this un- carbonated beer as the final rinse to get a beautiful glow to your hair.

Hair care is not a one day affair it has to be done regularly and strictly and only then would you be able to get results that you would be proud to show off to the world.

Dove Damage Therapy

Dove Hair Damage Therapy is one such wholesome kit that comprises of a shampoo, conditioner, hair pack and a moisture lock serum.

The moisturizing shampoo is quite effective in cleansing your hair and scalp leaving back necessary moisture without making your hair too dry.

The moisturizing conditioner has a double conditioning effect and when followed by the pack it really tames rough unruly hair almost immediately.

The serum acts as a protective cover not letting the moisture from the hair escape as well as protective any harsh external elements causing damage to your hair.

This product when used regular seems to have a good promise to treat damaged hair. I am trying it, would surely give you the results soon.
