skin care tips

Every one of us wants a youthful and vibrant looking skin. Of course ageing is a natural process however it can be overcome by many preventive measures. So what can be done? Here are some anti ageing skin care tips that can significantly reduce the signs of ageing.

UVA &UVB Sunscreen

The most important tip to overcome ageing is to apply UVA and UVB protective sunscreen. Make sure to apply sunscreen lotions or cream to all the areas of exposure to sun. For those who are more likely to get exposed to sun daily, sunscreens with SPF 30 is the perfect choice for daily use. Apply the sunscreen creams at least 20 minutes before going out.

Another easy way for a moderate sun protection is to use make-up containing sunscreen. Eyes and lips also need special care so eye creams and lip balm containing sunscreens will be a better choice.

Don’t get fooled by various advertisements that show the amount of time your skin can stay safe in sun is got by multiplying the SPF not by the length of time you are exposed to sun. The amount of time your skin can stay safe in sun depends on various factors like the time of day, location, humidity, inadequate application of sunscreen and so on.

Remember you can get a good healthy looking skin only from a healthy diet so make sure to add anti -oxidant rich foods in your daily diet.

Omega-3-fattyacid present in foods stimulates the formation of new healthy cells. Salmon, walnuts, spinach containing omega -3fatty acid must be an important part of your daily diet.

Avoid Smoking

Accumulation of nicotine narrows the blood vessels as well as reduces the formation of collagen and elastin causing premature ageing.

Excess Sugar Consumption

Studies show that excess consumption of sugar can cause premature wrinkles and ageing due to glycation. Glycation is a natural process that cause the sugars in bloodstream to get attatched to some proteins resulting in harmful products called Advanced Glycation End product(AGE). THE AGE ?s can damage collagen and elastin causing the skin to sag.

Good Sleep
Giving good rest to your skin by getting a good night’s sleep is the best way to keep your skin healthy.
Getting plenty of sleep along with exercise and balanced diet can gift you a supple, healthy and glowing skin.

Eternal beauty a hopeless dream can be made into reality by taking proper care of your skin every minute.
