Considering the importance given to staying fit in the world today, it takes constant effort to keep up with the fab bod (fabulous bodied) friends, relatives and even acquaintances. A little extra weight on your tummy has become a cause for worry as one may not be part of the fit club. And all this worry ends up in a strict diet plan accompanied by hard workouts.

One may have met someone they know after a long time and is intrigued by the good shape they are in. You guessed it right. Fuelled by the look of the fit acquaintance the person begins the weight loss regime with a strict sense of discipline.

The first week is successful. The second week is also successful but the vigor seems to have slipped a bit. The third week is a so-so and by the beginning of the fourth week one kind of loses track of why they have commenced this strenuous workout.

This is a common scenario and almost all of us may fit into this bloc at some point during our work out regime. The challenge is to know how to stay motivated and continue the fitness regime without much ado. Here are a few points to remember that will help you stay motivated throughout your weight loss regime and even afterwards to remain fit.

  1. Revisit Your Goals

Analyze the targets that you have set. The most important thing is to understand if they are realistic. If you have set a goal to lose 5 kilos a month, it may seem quite farfetched. Instead set a decent one or two kilogram to be lost per month. Please understand that to lose as much as one or two kilogram of your weight a lot of sacrifice is required.

The underlying problem in continuing a strict diet is that it is very similar to an over tight dress, you never know when it will tear. The best way is to choose what fits you irrespective of whether it is a diet regime or what you wear.

  1. Reward Yourself

Let?s say one has set 500 grams as their first two week?s target of weight loss and they have achieved it. Then it?s time for reward and it is definitely alright to indulge in your favorite ice cream or that mouth watering donut. But once you reward yourself, get back to your regime; do not wander about the ice cream parlor.

  1. Gift Yourself

Purchase that glam outfit from the shop you visited with your friends, only a size smaller than your current fit. Place it somewhere you can see it every morning when you wake up. Keep imagining yourself in that outfit out on a romantic date. Experts suggest that this will keep you away from losing interest in your diet.

  1. Allow Cheat Days ?

It is near to impossible to be faithful to your diet plan. If you continue to curb your hunger pangs for specific food items then you are sure to let it loose. Hence you give yourself the permission for occasional binging on chocolates or those fried chips or chicken. Having said that ensure to keep a watchful eye on over indulgence.

Although the following did not make to the top of the list to stay motivated these are important too. Stay away from negative people who try to spoil the diet plan, don?t be too hard on yourself, concentrate on losing inches than kilogram/pounds of weight and last but not least always feel beautiful about your body (never mind if you?ve just started the weight loss regime).
